Doorward is a preparation tool. It helps the person responsible for premises under the Terrorism (Protection of Premises) Act 2025 to determine scope and tier, write public protection procedures, assess measures where the enhanced duty applies, keep records and evidence, plan actions and prepare the information the Security Industry Authority will ask for. Its Readiness Assessment identifies preparedness and potential gaps against the requirements of the Act. It is not legal advice, it does not certify compliance, and it is not endorsed by the Home Office, the SIA or any government body. No product is. Responsibility for complying with the Act remains with the responsible person.
A licence is a single payment for one year of use for the stated number of premises, on up to three devices. It does not renew automatically. When it ends, everything entered stays on the device and can be read and edited; building a new assessment needs a new licence. A licence code licenses the stated number of premises for the stated period. Codes issued to an organisation may be used only for premises in that organisation's care. Codes may not be resold. A code withdrawn by an organisation continues to work until the end of the period already paid for, unless it was obtained or used dishonestly.
Website licences are a one-off payment through Stripe for one year from the date of payment. Nothing renews. Prices include VAT where applicable. Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations you may cancel within 14 days of purchase for a full refund provided the code has not been redeemed.
Your records stay on your device. See the privacy policy. You are responsible for keeping a backup.
The app reflects the Act, the Home Office statutory guidance published 15 April 2026, the supplementary documents and the notification guidance, with paragraph references. Guidance may change before and after commencement; we update the app as it does, but you should check the official sources, which the app links to, before relying on any statement.
We do not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for anything else that cannot be excluded by law. Otherwise our liability to you in connection with Doorward is limited to the amount you paid for the licence in the twelve months before the claim.
